Scenario 17 — Conflicting advice from trusted people
Noise multiplies when multiple voices compete; discernment matters.
Situation (full narrative)
Daniel has been trying to make a decision about a job opportunity in another city. At first it seemed straightforward — the role is a good one and the timing could make sense.
But as he has talked with people about it, the advice has started to point in very different directions.
One friend told him it would be a great move and that opportunities like this do not come around often. Another friend said the situation sounds rushed and suggested waiting for something more stable.
His parents think the move could be exciting, while a mentor he respects encouraged him to move slowly and ask more questions first.
The more conversations Daniel has, the less certain he feels. He keeps wondering whether he is overthinking the decision or whether the different opinions are pointing to something he should pay closer attention to.
