Scenario 21 — Workplace favoritism
Integrity pressure rises when unfairness shows up; bitterness is a trap.
Situation (full narrative)
Jessica has been dealing with an ongoing disagreement with a coworker that started over something relatively minor.
The original issue involved a scheduling change for a shared project. At the time the conversation felt tense, but both of them moved forward and the work continued.
Since then, though, a few small moments have kept the situation alive. A short email reply here, a meeting comment there — nothing explosive, but enough to leave Jessica wondering if the tension is still there.
Some days she thinks the situation has probably already blown over. Other days a new interaction makes her feel like the conflict is still quietly sitting under the surface.
She is unsure whether she should address it directly or simply let time smooth things out.
