Scenario 27 — Ministry team disagreement

Unity is fragile; preferences are getting spiritualized.

Situation (full narrative)

Sara recently accepted a leadership role in a volunteer organization that coordinates several community events each year.

The role involves organizing teams, managing schedules, and making a steady stream of small decisions about logistics.

At first she enjoyed the challenge, but after a few months she has noticed that the number of decisions never really slows down.

People regularly ask for quick guidance about details — which plan to follow, how to adjust something, or whether a change should be approved.

Most of the decisions are not dramatic, but the constant need to respond has left Sara feeling mentally tired and unsure whether she is making the best calls or simply reacting to whatever comes up next.

Training exercise

  • Write the situation in one sentence focusing on the main tension in the story.
  • List the events or pressures described.
  • Separate confirmed facts from interpretation or speculation.
  • Identify whether the pressure appears external, relational, or internal.
  • Choose one Authority card that establishes God’s rule over the situation.
  • Choose one Identity card so the intercessor prays from clarity rather than anxiety.
  • Choose one Situation card that best names the core issue.
  • State the prayer focus in one sentence.
Use this to tighten your framing, not to chase details.
