Scenario 29 — Workplace opposition after obedience
Resistance increases after you do the right thing; discouragement follows.
Situation (full narrative)
Sam had been confident he was doing the right thing when he raised concerns about a safety issue at work. The decision did not feel dramatic at the time — it just seemed like something that needed to be addressed.
But not long after speaking up, the atmosphere around him began to shift in small ways. A couple of coworkers who were normally friendly became noticeably quiet when he walked into the room. One meeting that he was usually invited to suddenly happened without him.
No one has directly said that the two things are connected, but Sam cannot shake the feeling that they might be. At the same time, he keeps wondering if he is reading too much into normal workplace dynamics.
Part of him feels steady about the decision he made. Another part keeps replaying the moment he spoke up and asking whether he handled it the right way.
Now he finds himself questioning whether the resistance he feels around him is simply awkward workplace tension… or something more intentional.

- Choose one Authority card that establishes God over the situation.
