week 5
Week 5 – Warfare
When opposition is real
Short summary
This week looks at what the prayer flow looks like when discernment shows that spiritual opposition is real. Warfare is real, but it is not the answer to every hard situation.
Warfare is not reactive or chaotic. It is a clear and steady response to real spiritual opposition under Christ’s authority.
This week helps participants learn when warfare is truly needed and how to stay calm, clear, and grounded.
Learning goal
By the end of this session, participants should be better able to:
- distinguish spiritual opposition from fear, hardship, confusion, temptation, or ordinary struggle
- understand that warfare follows discernment rather than replacing it
- practice calm authority rather than dramatic escalation
This week’s practice focus
Think of a difficult situation. Ask what evidence would confirm spiritual resistance and what evidence suggests it is not. Then write one sentence explaining whether escalation is not appropriate, possible, or confirmed.
