week 2
Week 2 – Authority and identity
His authority and our identity

We pray best when we remember who we are in Christ.
Workbook checklist

- Reflection questions
- Weekly practice
KPA Book checklist (optional)
- Chapters 3 - 5
- Appendix B
Learning goal
By the end of this session, participants should be better able to:
- understand why authority and identity come first in the prayer flow
- choose authority and identity cards more carefully
- distinguish between the identity of the person praying and the person being prayed for
- see how authority and identity change the tone of prayer before the situation is even addressed
This Week’s Deep-Dive Practice
Use one current personal situation. Describe it briefly and factually in the Situation Card explanation space, but do not choose a Situation Card yet. Record one Authority card and one Identity card, then pray for 2–3 minutes using only those truths. Do not move to outcomes yet.
